New President for Mr. Handyman

Mr. Handyman, a leading home repair franchise, recently announced the appointment of their new President, Alex Roberts.

Alex Roberts is highly experienced in franchise development and management. He intends to build on Mr. Handyman's reputaion as the number one handyman service franchise.

Alex was past president of president of ProTect Painters where he significantly improved sales, profits, and owner validation. Prior to ProTect Painters, Alex led the Service Brands development team and established strong relationships within the franchise consultant community as vice president of franchise development for Molly Maid, Mr. Handyman, 1-800-DryClean, and ProTect Painters.

Alex joined Service Brands in 2004 as a franchise development manager for Mr. Handyman. He helped build the franchise system while earning the trust and respect of the franchise owners. College Hunks Hauling Junk® and College Hunks Moving® announced the signing of their newest franchise partner today in the Long Island, New York area. The addition of Long Island marks College Hunks' 1st location in New York state. College Hunks is delighted to now offer their complete suite of stress-free home and office services to residents in Long Island's Nassau and Suffolk counties, including The Hamptons.

The local franchise will be headed by College Hunks Corporate Director of Operations, Steven Nickels. Steven has been with the company for 4 years and trains and supports all new franchise partners that come into the system. "I am extremely excited to put all of my expertise into good use and grow a model franchise, while also gaining a new perspective that will greatly enhance my ability to coach all of our existing locations to further growth," says Nickels. A tradition at the two Cash Plus Corporate Stores (#026 and #033 in Anaheim, CA) is to give each employee two gift cards for Thanksgiving: a $50 card for their own family and a $25 card to give to their favorite customer. As you might expect, getting $25 out of the blue generates some serious customer goodwill.

Laura Bluestein was Daniel’s pick. She’d just had a baby and had been off work for maternity leave; she also has a teenage son at home. Jossana chose Clarita Ventura because she and her husband are both good customers, and she’s been in-between jobs during the past year. Michelle picked Inez Duran because she and her husband are both long time customers, and they are such a sweet couple. They are always holding hands and very nice to all the tellers, but were shy about having their picture taken.
Elizabeth Perez was Atenas’ choice because, “she is always so thankful for our services when she comes in. When we thank her at the end of the transaction she always says, ‘No, thank you!’”

Alchie gave his gift card to Regina Chaddock, because every time she comes in she’s a ray of sunshine — and at times brings us cookies or other treats.

James Pease was Penny’s pick because his mom (also a Cash Plus customer for many years), passed away just before Thanksgiving and she thought he could use a little extra cheering up.
